Ash Wednesday

Yesterday was Ash Wednesday which marks the start of Lenten season. The purpose of Lent is to prepare yourself for baptism on Easter Sunday. It's 40 days of sacrifice and repentance so I've decided that dating has really fogged my mind and made me lose sight of what I value and God's will. So that's my plan....for someone who has been dating like it's my job to completely give it up. It's going to be a journey...

The Great Road Trip of 2010

So last Friday (2.5.10) I decided to take a road trip from Chicago to Pennsylvania against all good advice. We knew a storm was coming but decided to push forward anyways. Overall the drive went pretty well. The worst part was Friday night when our heat in the truck stopped working and GPS decided it was a good idea to take us, our Penske truck, and the VW Golf through the darkest, snow filled back roads. We were all unsure if the end of the directions would actually lead to a hotel. Thankfully it did. Enjoy the video documentary.

So I've decided to start this blog because I'm a huge into journaling but it's hard to upload photos and video to a paper journal. All in all, it's just about my life and I must admit, it's pretty fabulous!
